Coronavirus has hit vulnerable families particularly hard, putting their physical and mental health under immense strain. The increased stress, anxiety and uncertainty can heighten the risk of parenting burnout and family breakdown. Over half of parents with children under 5 are struggling to cope, with many feeling uncomfortable seeking help for how they are feeling.

Gin will talk about the science behind how the brain functions during anxiety, stress and depression. An accumulation of negative thoughts over time can mean that we feel overwhelmed and out of control. By using examples and metaphors, Gin gives you an accurate, straightforward explanation of brain function and how, by improving just one underestimated area of your life, you can empty your ‘stress bucket’.

Together we can make a difference. How your donation will help:

Parental wellbeing is paramount in order to support our children. Coronavirus has hit some families particularly hard, putting their mental health under immense strain. It’s now more important than ever that we can provide vital emotional support to parents to avoid burnout and breakdown.

Our family support groups, which are a lifeline for families struggling with isolation and emotional wellbeing, are now taking place remotely. Our Evening Stars Group gives parents a safe space to share experiences, concerns and anxieties, and get support and reassurance from volunteers and other parents.

Right now parents need all the help they can get. Your support will allow us to expand our Evening Stars Group and provide vital support to tackle mental health, anxiety, and isolation for parents, helping them to keep their children healthy, happy, and ready for a return to normal life.

We’d love it if you could make a small donation here:

About Gin Lalli

Gin began her career as an Optometrist and increasingly found that anxiety, stress and depression were having a huge impact on the health and wellbeing of her patients. Gin has always been fascinated by how the brain works; why can some people cope with difficult circumstances and others find it more challenging? In order to investigate and understand brain function, Gin began a journey to study neuroscience and psychology, which ultimately led to her becoming a qualified Solution Focused Psychotherapist.

Gin helps people to regain control of their lives by explaining the science behind how the brain functions and by employing the latest evidence-based techniques of positive psychology and mindfulness.
