Home-Start Aberdeen, is under new stewardship as Cameron McCready takes over as Chief Executive this month. A former Residential Service Manager for Aberdeen Cyrenians, Cameron brings a wealth of experience in the non-profit and community welfare sectors.
“I’m delighted to welcome Cameron as the new Chief of Home-Start Aberdeen,” said Anne MacDonald, Chair of the charity’s board. “Cameron has a proven track record in fostering change in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families. Taking his third sector experience, his law degree and his role as a Dad with children under five, Cameron is well placed to successfully lead Home-Start Aberdeen through its next chapter. I’m confident his leadership style and commitment will further strengthen our position and the support we provide to families across the city.”
With over eight years of experience in the non-profit sector, Cameron is poised to lead the organisation at a challenging time for charities. His understanding of the unique challenges faced by vulnerable families, coupled with a passion for community empowerment is wholly aligned with Home-Start’s mission to make a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable young families in Aberdeen.
“I’m excited and honoured to have the opportunity to lead Home-Start Aberdeen and to build on the incredible work that’s already been done,” said Cameron. “I am proud that I can now play my part in delivering Home-Start’s vital services and bring my own skills and experience to the role. I look forward to working closely with our dedicated staff and volunteers to continue supporting families in Aberdeen and providing them with the support and resources they need to thrive.”
