Home-Start Aberdeen works with families in the local area with complex needs, who have at least one child pre-birth to age 5. Our vision is for every child in our area to have the best possible start in life. Every year we provide practical and emotional support to around 200 families across Aberdeen.
Home-Start Aberdeen has supported families across the city for more than 30 years. We follow recommended guidance when working with young families but we know there is no rule book for raising a family. We provide support without judgement – just compassionate, confidential help from our trained volunteers, backed by expert staff.

Our board of trustees, all volunteers from different backgrounds, provide direction and support to our team of staff and volunteers.

We’re currently looking for motivated and enthusiastic volunteers to join our board and help us work to fulfil our vision for every child in our area to have the best possible start in life.  Trustees meet four times a year in the evening with a separate six-monthly review of strategy.
