On the 2nd of June a team of staff, volunteers, families and supporters put on their walking shoes and tackled the Kiltwalk for Home-Start Aberdeen.

With tartan and bright orange colours proudly on display, they took on the ‘Mighty Stride’ (18 miles from Duthie Park to Banchory) and the ‘Wee Wander’ (4 miles from Crathes Castle to the finish line).

Our team spearheaded by our Chief Executive, Cameron McCready and Anasuria Operating Company’s staff, raised a phenomenal £2728.00. The monies raised will allow us to continue to provide essential support for families with young children across Aberdeen.

“Today, families living in Aberdeen face growing pressures and unprecedented challenges. From social isolation and financial hardship to mental ill health and relationship breakdown, our mission is to respond to the needs of families by offering compassionate support to prevent difficulties from escalating into crises. We are so proud of and grateful for the incredible support of everyone who walked, donated, shared or helped us to reach this total. It will make a crucial difference by allowing us to be there when families need us.” says Cameron McCready, Chief Executive of Home-Start Aberdeen.
