Every year we provide crucial support to families who are struggling with issues including financial hardship, social isolation, illness and disability, mental health issues, bereavement and relationship breakdown.

Our local, trained volunteers provide compassionate, confidential and life-changing support to help families create a secure, loving home environment where their children can grow up happy, healthy, confident and able to achieve their full potential.

Everyday, Home-Start Aberdeen makes a difference to the lives of young families struggling to cope. Our trained volunteers provide compassionate and confidential, emotional, and practical support. We help families create a secure, loving home environment where children can grow up happy, healthy, confident, and able to achieve their potential.
In 2021 Home- Start Aberdeen supported 305 children – that’s 202 Aberdeen families, who’s lives we’ve helped, through the support of our volunteers, donations, and the community.
Demand for our services and competition for funding is at an all-time high and we are always looking for ways to raise more funds to make sure we can be there for children and families. At the beginning of 2022 we launched our very own lottery – Home-Start Aberdeen’s Make a Difference Lottery.
Supporters can sign-up to play from just £1 per line per week, up to a maximum of 5 lines per week. Each week supporters will have the opportunity to win one of 37 cash prizes: 1st Prize: £25,000, 2nd Prize: £1,000 and 35 guaranteed Runner-up Prizes: 5 x £20, 10 x £10, and 20 x £5.
The draws are made every Friday, and the lucky winners are sent their prizes automatically, so when you win there is no need for you to claim.
Our lottery is part of Affinity Lottery, a pooled lottery with other charities and not-for-profit organisations.
